Wolffkran Enhances Crane Safety and Usability With New Control and Camera Systems
Wolffkran, a company in tower cranes, is introducing significant advancements in crane operation technology at bauma 2025.
The company has enhanced its Wolff Crane Control System and developed the Wolff Cam, an in-house hook camera, to improve operator comfort, efficiency and safety.
“At Wolffkran, we don’t just build cranes — we develop intuitive, user-friendly machines that make crane operation safer and more efficient,” a Wolffkran spokesperson said.
“These latest innovations reflect our commitment to providing solutions for crane personnel.”
Next-Level Crane Control With an Upgraded Interface
The Wolff Crane Control System now features a high-resolution, 10-inch horizontal display, designed for a user experience similar to a tablet or smartphone.
Key enhancements include:
- Intuitive navigation with a streamlined menu and easy-to-recognize icons.
- Personalized user profiles, supporting six languages and multiple measurement units.
- Role-based display views, ensuring crane operators, service personnel and information technology specialists receive only the most relevant data.
The system also integrates Wolff Link, allowing real-time fleet management
With Profinet-based data transmission, operators can access detailed diagnostic reports, reducing downtime and simplifying maintenance. A smart magazine-style manual eliminates endless scrolling by letting users jump directly to essential data sheets.
Smart Crane Technology for Enhanced Safety and Precision
Built on Siemens’ latest programmable logic controller technology, the upgraded system delivers:
- Faster command response and smoother crane movements.
- Continuous safety monitoring, automatically adjusting to hazardous conditions.
- Seamless integration with the Wolff High-Speed Positioning System (HiSPS) and anti-collision systems.
Future software updates will introduce graphical enhancements for swing area restrictions, further optimizing safety.
Introducing Wolff Cam: A Game-Changer for Load Visibility
The Wolff Cam, making its bauma 2025 debut, expands the operator’s field of vision by providing a live feed of the load, even in poor visibility conditions.
Key features of the manufacturer-developed hook camera include:
- Seamless integration with the Wolff Crane Control System.
- Mounting on the hook block with the option to install within the HiSPS sensor box.
- Standalone operation capability for older Wolff cranes.
- Two rechargeable batteries, providing up to 20 hours of continuous operation.
A More Efficient and Enjoyable Crane Experience
Starting in mid-2025, Wolff Crane Control and Wolff Cam will be gradually rolled out across all Wolff crane models. By combining digital solutions with enhanced safety features, Wolffkran is setting a new standard for operator satisfaction, precision and efficiency.
