WireCo to Move Headquarters to Kansas

 

April 16, 2015 – WireCo WorldGroup is moving its headquarters from Kansas City, Mo. to Prairie Village, Kan., this summer. In the relocation, some 185 employees with move to new corporate offices across the Kansas City metro area, confirms Mary Beth Valencia, marketing manager.

 

In March, the wire rope manufacturer laid off at least 30 production workers and three supervisors, attributing the staff cuts to low oil prices and a global reduction in demand for the wire products used in rigs involved in energy exploration. Valencia said the company move to Kansas will take place in July.
