United Rentals Opens Service Center for National Accounts

February 25, 2005 — United Rentals, Greenwich, Conn., announced the opening of its new national accounts customer service center in Shelton, Conn. The state-of-the-art facility is staffed by seven full-time customer service professionals who provide the company's largest accounts with a single point of contact for equipment rentals, sales, and contractor supplies.

"This allows us to be incredibly responsive to customer requests," said Ernie Delle Donne, vice president of national accounts and government sales. "It's not unusual for one of our national accounts to be based in the Northeast, for example, and need equipment delivered immediately to jobsites in Miami, Kansas City, or Vancouver."

The new service center shares information with more than 730 United Rentals branches throughout the United States and Canada, allowing the company to service its national accounts on a large-scale need.
