Trojan's AGM line of batteries feature new upgrades.

April 18, 2005 • Trojan Battery Company, Santa Fe Springs, Calif., has upgraded its spill-proof, no maintenance line of valve-regulated (VRLA) AGM batteries. The six-battery line now features a non-spillable design, which never requires adding water.

The 24-AGM, 27-AGM, 31-AGM, 4D-AGM, 8D-AGM and 6V-AGM feature AP-Wingnut (APW) terminals that allow users to hook up multiple pieces of equipment to a single battery. Rope handles on each battery make for much easier handling, especially when users are working with large numbers of batteries or in tight spaces. These batteries are ideal for lighter to medium depth-of-discharge applications, such as aerial work platforms.

In 2005, Trojan Battery celebrates its 80th anniversary and is in its third generation of family leadership under Rick Godber, president and CEO. What began as an automotive battery manufacturer, is now a producer of deep cycle batteries for numerous applications, including aerial work platforms. Among the original equipment manufacturers of aerial work platforms which Trojan Battery shares a relationship are Genie Industries, Ui, and Pinquely-Haulotte.
