Terex Cranes Names Training Manager for North America

Soenke Eichhorn
January 23, 2006 • Soenke Eichhorn has been named the new Training Manager for Terex Cranes, North America. Eichhorn will oversee and organize training for the IHI crawler, tower, rough-terrain and all-terrain cranes as well as boom trucks for the Wilmington, N.C. and Waverly, Iowa locations. He will be located in Wilmington.

The Terex Cranes Service training program prepares service technicians in set-up, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Programs include classroom instruction, demonstrations and hands-on sessions. Last year, Terex taught 16 classes at two of the company's training facilities and in the field. On site training is also available, which can be tailored to the customer's needs.

Eichhorn began working with Demag Cranes in Germany as a Test Field Engineer for Telescoping and Crawler Cranes in 1991. In 1995 he was transferred to Houston, Texas to help establish a U.S. service department for the company. Eichhorn moved to Wilmington, N.C. with the acquisition of Demag by TEREX and has been responsible for training and supporting the Service and Sales Department.
