Steel River, an industrial services business, has announced the acquisition of WHECO, a global provider of crane and heavy-equipment repair, restoration, and inspection. The move significantly enhances Steel River's capabilities, expanding its reach and technical expertise.
The WHECO team, comprising over 60 skilled employees, integrates with Steel River's existing employee base. The acquisition strengthens Steel River's CraneTech division, particularly in mobile crane and aerial work platform proficiency.
"We are thrilled to have this opportunity to grow the great team we already have in place and add new resources and expertise so that existing and new customers have access to a full array of lifting equipment solutions and repair capabilities," expressed WHECO General Manager Ryan Davis.
"After a record year, 2024 is already off to a great start for Steel River's growth plans. WHECO is an excellent fit to help round out our growing suite of lifting equipment services, and we're incredibly excited to welcome the team to the Steel River family," stated Steel River Co-founder Eric Factor. The long-term fundraising will further support the expansion of operations, workforce, and drive organic and inorganic growth.
