Star Industries Launches Narrow Construction-Grade Hopper

September 22, 2005 — A ½ cubic yard Self-Dumping Hopper that can pass through a standard 3-feet doorway is the latest new product available from Star Industries, Fort Worth, Texas. Designed for use with telescopic handlers and straight-mast forklifts, this construction-grade hopper is ideal for maneuvering throughout single- or multi-story buildings.

Its extra heavy-duty construction ensures it can handle all types of construction refuse including broken-up concrete, brick, and, block. Important safety features include a safety chain and grab hook to secure the hopper and keep it from sliding off the forks when traveling or dumping. In addition, a convenient rope release allows the operator to dump the hopper from the forklift seat or from the ground, safely away from the dump area. A hopper safety lock prevents inadvertent dumping when traveling over rough terrain. Casters are available as an option. Other models are available with 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 cubic yard capacities.
