A lattice crawler crane rigged with about 200 feet of boom flipped over onto a structure under construction. The incident occurred as the crane was working, on what was described as a timber platform, with its boom fully elevated. Witnesses said the crane slewed so that its counterweight was over the end of one track, and the weight shift caused the platform to give way under the track, tilting the crane backwards with its boom going over the back and crashing into the building. No one was injured. OSHA is investigating. – Vertikal.net
