Flat top and luffing tower cranes from Stafford Tower Cranes are now being manufactured with the company’s own crane cabins. The main driving force behind the need for a new crane cabin design, according to the company, was to improve the working experience for operators by providing greater visibility, improved comfort and a host of safety features.

Stafford’s new crane cabins for the manufacturer’s flat top and luffing tower crane models are available in the two sizes. Both cabin models include heat and air conditioning systems, technician seating, window wiper/washer systems, inverter displays, external sensor lighting, fire extinguishers, remote access to PLC drives with data logging and fault finding/adjustments, Wi-Fi radio speakers, USB connections, refrigerators and coffee makers.

In addition, window glass in the new Stafford crane cabins can be changed from inside in the event of breakage. Yaskawa or Schneider screens and PLC drives are standard depending on where the crane is ordered. The larger version of the crane cabin is also extended with a separate electrical room so technicians don’t need to be outside in adverse weather.

Options for all Stafford Cranes models include the company’s Smart System telematics and man lifts for automated access to the crane cabin.

Stafford Tower Cranes flat top tower cranes range from 11,023 pounds to 110,231 pounds in capacity and 164 feet to 279 feet in jib length. The manufacturer’s luffing tower cranes are offered in capacities from 8,818 pounds to 92,594 pounds and jib lengths from 131.2 feet to 229.7 feet.
