Equipped with crawlers, the aerial lift demonstrates its ability to negotiate stairs.

August 4, 2004 - American Spider Lifts, Reading Mass., introduces Teupen GmbH Spider Lifts to North American rental and construction markets. Spider Lifts are versatile, self-propelled aerial lifts with unique outriggers that can be individually rotated and leveled, allowing operation even on extreme slopes. Equipped with rubber tracks, Spider Lifts can navigate through rough terrain, move up steps, enter narrow doorways, travel through mud or snow, or work indoors without damaging delicate floors.

The first unit introduced in North America is the LEO 25T. Maximum platform height is 77 feet, and maximum side reach is 40 feet. The minimum constricted area for outrigger setup is 8'6"x14'0", while the standard footprint area is 14'x14'. When this machine is in a stowed position, its dimensions are 5'7"x6'6"x23'6", and its overall weight is 6,040 pounds.

One of the most unique features of this machine is its ability to lift on extreme slopes. The LEO 25T can be jacked up to a ground slope of approximately 26 percent, and it has a climbing ability of 32 percent.

All Spider Lifts come equipped with dual power, a 19-hp Kubota D722-E water-cooled diesel engine and 110-volt electro-hydraulic power pack for indoor or outdoor use. Spider Lifts up to 100 feet can be towed by a pick up truck.
