Snorkel TB85J Fixed-Axle Telescopic Boom Lift
January 26, 2006 — Snorkel International, Elwood, Kan., will introduce the TB85J fixed-axle telescopic boom lift at The Rental Show. Preliminary specs provided to LiftandAccess.com show the TB85J fixed-axle boom lift operates at a maximum width of 8'6". Plans do not call for this machine to replace the expandable axle TB85J.

The TB85J features an 85-foot platform height with 76'8” horizontal reach. Its 500-pound capacity aluminum platform measures 30”x96” and rotates 170°. In a stowed position, the machine measures 8'6”x36'7.5”x9'8” and weighs 38,000 pounds. While stowed, the TB85J's drive speed is 3 mph. Other performance features include the 45% theoretical gradeability, and it is also drivable at full height. The TB85J also offers four-wheel drive, four-wheel steer, and 360° continuous turntable rotation.

Standard features include engine anti-restart, 12-volt emergency operated power, foam-filled tires, 110-volt GFCI AC outlet, and high engine temp/low oil pressure shut down. As an option, the TB45J platforms can be replaced with a 30”x59” steel platform with a 600-pound capacity or a 33”x63” steel platform with a 500-pound capacity. Other optional features include a platform control box cover, driving lights, dual fuel, cold weather start kit, drive motion alarm, and an airline to the platform.
