Oct. 24, 2023 – Sany America has added Leon Bowden as its product manager for all-terrain cranes.
In this newly created position, Bowden is leading Sany’s entry into the North American all-terrain crane market, where Sany looks to redefine industry expectations and set new benchmarks for quality and service.
“Sany’s all-terrain cranes have proven to be productive and reliable in many other parts of the world for several years,” said Bowden. “Now it’s time for them to do the same here in North America.”
Although Bowden understands the challenges of taking on established market leaders, he believes that the quality and performance of Sany’s all-terrain cranes, supported by the strong dealer network Sany America is quickly building, will be up to the task.
“I believe we can lead the way both in product quality and service standards,” he said.
Bowden is a veteran of the British Army and has nearly 30 years of experience as a professional in the construction equipment and lifting industries.
Those three decades include being a heavy-equipment technician, technical trainer, senior service engineer, customer service manager, and now product manager.
He spent the most recent 10 of those years working with all-terrain cranes for a major international manufacturer.
That experience has given Bowden a profound understanding of the industry and product’s intricacies.
