Crane Hot Line

Sacramento, Calif.

Two crew members, in harnesses on top of a fun park ride, were hurt when a crane collapsed, along with a part of the ride. The crane, set up to perform maintenance on a 165-foot-high rotating arm, fell over from the weight of the ride’s arm, crashing into a miniature golf course and a batting cage. Both harnessed crew members were left dangling about 70 feet in the air, and one was injured when his arm became trapped between two pieces of metal. The crane operator also suffered minor injuries as the crane tipped. Cal/OSHA was investigating the accident. - foxnews.com
