Resist Technology Extends Service Life on DBI/SALA Products

June 7, 2005 — Fall protection manufacturer DBI/SALA and PROTECTA, based in Red Wing, Minn., recently incorporated Resist Technology into two of its most popular products: its Delta™ II harnesses and EZ-STOP® II shock-absorbing lanyards.

Providing protection against grease, oil, and dirt, the technology uses polyurethane-coated webbing to deflect debris that causes abrasion, lengthening the life of equipment and lowering the cost of ownership. The specialized coating also allows personal protective equipment to wipe clean in seconds.

“The Delta II harnesses and EZ-STOP II shock-absorbing lanyards are two of our most popular products because they're not only comfortable, but easy to don and use,” says Kim Meyer, product marketing manager for DBI/SALA. “We added Resist Technology to the equipment to meet the demands of our customers in industries such as oil and construction, who value a long service life and resistance to the grease and dirt that they face on a day-to-day basis.”

Both products meet OSHA and ANSI requirements. On the Delta II harness, its No-Tangle design holds the shape of the gear, making it easy and comfortable to wear. EZ-STOP lanyards use a controlled tearing action when subjected to fall arrest forces and include self-locking snap hooks that allow easy opening and closing.
