A Chinese ship seized by federal authorities after a crane accident at APM Terminals has been released. Last month the ship was delivering two new cranes and was pulling away when another crane aboard the vessel clipped the crane on the dock, causing it to fall off its tracks. A federal lawsuit was filed against the company that owns the ship, seeking $14.65 million in damages. The ship was released after the insurer of the ship’s owner stated that it would cover damage for which the company may be liable.
