For over 75 years, the Specialized Crane & Rigging Association (SC&RA) has provided its members with countless opportunities to learn, gain valuable industry insights and network year-round. Yet, one event that consistently stands out is the eagerly awaited Annual Conference in late April.
It’s a time for industry owners, CEOs and leaders to come together for a week filled with exceptional educational sessions and insightful talks from experts on the latest trends, innovations and challenges shaping the future of the industry.
This year, the conference will be held at the “Jewel of the Desert” – the Arizona Biltmore hotel, built in the Golden Age of Hollywood and the playground of the rich and famous – from April 21-24 in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Last year, one of our main takeaways following the annual conference was getting to have more insight from our users and suppliers as well as other manufacturers and providers,” said Troy Geisler, vice president of sales and marketing at Talbert Manufacturing. “This year, I am anticipating learning more about any changes that affect our business. Tuesday, April 22
The afternoon is dedicated to Mark Halperin, a veteran journalist who has covered every American national election since 1988. In his presentation titled “Post-Election Political and Economic Landscape,” he will provide an overview of the election and post-election environment, including the latest campaign updates and the policy implications.
Wednesday, April 23
Link-Belt hosts the “From the Ring to the Rainforest” breakfast, featuring former UFC fighter Justin Wren as he shares his journey from headlining fights to plummeting into the depths of addiction and ultimately making a difference beyond the arena. Wren will reveal how embracing personal accountability, overcoming adversity with resilience and practicing deep gratitude can inspire us all to create meaningful change in our lives.
For golf enthusiasts, a tournament and awards reception (featuring light hors d’oeuvres) will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. The cost to participate is $195.
Those not golfing, can look forward to “A Tasting with the Mezcal Maven” and a chance to kick off an early happy hour, exploring trendy drinks while discovering the rich complexities and perfect pairings of Mezcal tequila, the smoky and evocative agave-based spirit.
Thursday, April 24
The Trail King Breakfast, featuring a cclaimed author and TV host Leon Logothetis, will discuss how leading with empathy, connecting vulnerably and serving wholeheartedly can help leaders reset company culture, boost morale and reduce stress. He will share insights on how uplifting others can unlock limitless potential.

The Specialized Crane & Rigging Foundation’s Viva Las Vegas Fundraiser will be held from 7 to 10 p.m.
The event will support research, educational assistance and workforce initiatives that empower the community.
Attendees can enjoy DJ music, a buffet, an Elvis impersonator and a showgirl performance.
Tickets are $195, with proceeds funding opportunities to benefit individuals and families.
Celebrating Excellence
A centerpiece of the Annual Conference is the highly anticipated Job of the Year presentations. Companies that submit applications are invited to showcase their projects before peers and judges at the conference. Winners in each category will be announced and honored during the Closing Night ceremonies. To receive the award, winners must be present at the Closing Night Dinner.
