Pettibone's Retreat Defines Company's New Direction

December 15, 2004—Pettibone, Baraga, Mich., recently brought its dealers, suppliers, and personnel to its 2004 Strategic Partner Retreat in Las Vegas, Nev., in an effort to help provide the company with a new vision and direction. The 120-year-old company is in the process of revamping its equipment, corporate identity program, and overall company processes.

According to Kevin Walsh, president of Pettibone: “The goal of the retreat was two-fold: provide our partners with the tools and knowledge needed to continue to profit and grow, and get everyone re-energized about the exciting developments for both themselves and their customers.”

Highlights of the event included a complete product overview and education on all Pettibone machines, including sales tips and machine features/specifications; an introduction to Pettibone's new marketing and advertising campaign (i.e., new logo, marketing brochures, spec sheets, and redesigned website); and informational sessions on maximizing machine uptime and details of the free year-round maintenance service schools to help dealers and customers minimize downtime. Four Pettibone material handlers also were on-hand for retreat participants to review and test, including the 8044 and 10056 Extendo and the T8044 Traverse telehandlers.
