Pettibone Names New VP Sales & Marketing

February 2, 2005—Pete Haikio became the new vice president of sales and maketing for Pettibone, Baraga, Mich., in January. Haikio's appointment will be integral to the company's push to establish a national product awareness campaign and new customer support program.

Haikio comes to Pettibone from SmartEquip where he served as director of sales for this start-up online service provider. Prior to that, he spent six years at Omniquip, where he started as the telehandler product manager and later becoming the director of marketing.

“Pete understands our products, the importance of a dealer-based distribution system, the end users' need for maximum productivity, and the value of partnering with the dealer base to provide service after the sale,” said Kevin Walsh, president. “He is a perfect fit for our organization as we re-invent how we do business.”
