OZ Lifting Products LLC has introduced a new clamp designed for connecting hoists to mounting arms, offering a quick, easy, and safe solution for hanging electric chain or manual hoists under 0.5-ton capacity.
The hoist clamp can be mounted anywhere along the arm, supporting up to 1,000 pounds. It is available separately for users with existing mounting arms or can be purchased with pipe-mounted (model OBH230) or wall-mounted (OBH230-WALL) arms. Initially developed for construction sites with scaffolding, the OBH230 is sized for scaffolding pipes, while the OBH230-WALL has broader applications.
“Our mounting arm is very popular, and we have received feedback on options to mount a hoist with a traditional top hook,” Richard Miller, sales manager at OZ Lifting, said. “This led to the development of the hoist clamp, so once again it is an example of product innovation being driven by the point of use.”
The mounting arm, tested to a safety factor of 3:1, functions like a mini jib crane and can be installed upright or reversed. The hoist clamp can be attached to various points depending on the arm's orientation.
With widespread application across multiple industries, the new clamp is already proving its versatility. Constructed from durable steel with a powder coat finish, the OZ Lifting hoist clamp is in stock and ready for distribution through the company’s dealer network.
