December 17, 2004—Niftylift, Glen Ellyn, Ill., announces the launch of its rough-terrain, self-propelled boom lifts in the United States. Although Niftylift has brought the SP26 and SP34 boom lifts for years, this is the first time the larger units have made their appearance in the United States. According to Alastair Robertson of Niftylift, the company decided to bring the larger boom lifts overseas to increase the company's presence. “We have many unique products that we want to market in the United States,” he said.

With platform heights ranging from 45 to 63 feet, Niftylift's SP45, SP50, and SP60 RT boom lifts come with a host of features, including automatic failsafe braking; foam-filled, solid or non-marking white tires; emergency descent system with hand-pump; dual-control platform and base; lock valves on all hydraulic cylinders; dual harness points; double-acting cylinders; pressure

With a compact chassis design and 13'3” outside turning radius, these machines also provide 45% gradeability, four-wheel drive, and a suspension system that delivers good traction on steep or uneven surfaces. Fully proportional hydraulic controls provide smooth and measured operation, while the 100° platform rotation and 150° fly boom arc allow the operator improved access.
