New GLL Series Limit Switch Offers Reduced Cost Position Indication

Honeywell's new GLL limit switch offers reduced cost position indication.
March 9, 2006 — Honeywell's Sensing and Control Strategic Business Unit, Milwaukee, recently added the new GLL model to its line of compact electromechanical limit switches to include a potential solution for high volume applications.

The new GLL limit switch comes in a compact and lightweight RoHS-compliant package at a price that is up to 40% lower than comparable products, according to the company. Potential OEM applications include aerial work platforms. Standard features include reduced cost, compact size, fewer wires to install (double insulated housing and no ground required), easy access to wiring terminal block via a hinged cover, global seal ratings if IP65 and NEMA 13, and a wide range of approvals, including UL, CSA, CE, and CCC.

“As industry requirements change, so do our customers' needs,” said Global Product Manager Pam Davis. “Honeywell continues to invest in our broad product range. We listen to our customers and introduce new products that meet their changing specifications. The GLL is an excellent example of this.”
