May 2015 - A tree being removed at a transit center proved too heavy a load for the crane, which nearly tipped over in the incident. No one was hurt. The weight of the tree raised the crane off the ground and snapped the wire rope rigged to the load. The crane landed upright on the ground, but as the tree fell, the overhaul ball flew and landed 50 ft. from a bus with passengers aboard. Crew members were sent running for safety. The North County Transit District is investigating the incident. - www.10news.com
