NationsRent Becomes Authorized Distributor for JLG Telehandlers

March 13, 2006 • NationsRent Companies, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has been appointed an authorized distributor for JLG Industries' telescopic handlers in 19 states. Each designated NationsRent distributorship will be responsible for the rental and sale of one or more of the JLG telehandler brands, which include JLG, Lull, SkyTrak, or Gradall, and it will also be the factory authorized service location. As part of becoming an authorized distributor, NationsRent also will have new machines available for retail sale, will stock JLG parts, and will certify service technicians as factory trained.

Commenting on the appointment, Jeff Putman, chief executive officer of NationsRent, said, “Our appointment as an authorized JLG distributor complements our business strategy by allowing us to offer a more complete full service package of rentals, sales, parts, and after-the-sale support to our customers.”

According to Craig E. Paylor, senior vice president of sales, marketing, and customer support for JLG, the announcement followed the culmination of actions NationsRent had taken over the last 12 to 18 months, which qualified the company to become a JLG authorized distributor. “NationsRent is not only a sales and rental organization, but also a very service-focused company that JLG is proud to be associated with,” he added. “Qualifying as an authorized distributor requires a commitment from the entire organization.”
