Manitowoc will unveil an expanded lineup of crane products and aftermarket services at bauma 2025, emphasizing advanced technology, efficiency and sustainability.
The event, held in Munich, Germany, will highlight Manitowoc’s commitment to supporting customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their cranes.
Sustainable Lifting Solutions
Manitowoc’s new Grove plug-in hybrid all-terrain cranes showcase its dedication to eco-friendly lifting.
The GMK5150L-1e and GMK5150XLe, the latter set to be displayed at the booth, feature fully electrified superstructures capable of emissions-free lifting for up to five hours. These cranes can operate for 20 hours when connected to the grid and utilize HVO 100 fuel to reduce emissions by up to 90% while traveling.
Additionally, energy-efficient self-erecting cranes, such as the Potain Igo M 24-19, further contribute to sustainable lifting.
Advancements in Efficiency and Performance
Manitowoc will present several innovations designed to enhance crane efficiency and lifting performance.
The Potain Hup M 28-22 and Igo M 24-19 self-erecting cranes feature quick deployment and compact transport dimensions, improving operational flexibility.
Making its trade show debut, the Potain MR 309 is designed for high-rise and congested jobsites, offering easier assembly and a reduced out-of-service radius.
New automated boom and wire lubrication kits enhance the longevity of Grove mobile cranes, while an updated hydraulic system simplifies pin installation and removal for Potain K masts.
Smart Connectivity Solutions
Grove and Potain will spotlight digital advancements with the Grove CONNECT and Potain CONNECT platforms.
These systems provide real-time fleet management, remote diagnostics and wireless updates to Manitowoc’s Crane Control System (CCS), ensuring cranes remain up to date with the latest software.
Manitowoc will also introduce the ProTECHto remote control for CCS-enabled Potain cranes. This innovative tool enhances technician safety by allowing exclusive control over the crane during maintenance, minimizing downtime and reducing risk for on-site workers.
Comprehensive Lifecycle Support
Manitowoc continues to expand its aftermarket services, including the EnCORE remanufacturing program, which restores used cranes to original equipment manufacturer standards with new warranties.
The company has also broadened its Certified Used crane sales, offering cost-effective solutions for fleet expansion.
A Commitment to Innovation
Manitowoc will showcase 12 cranes across a 35,521.5 square foot exhibit at bauma 2025.
The event will not only highlight new products but also reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability, smart technology, efficiency and comprehensive customer support throughout the crane lifecycle.
