Manitowoc has introduced the Potain MCR 625, a luffing jib crane engineered for the rapidly expanding markets worldwide. Developed as a successor to the popular MR 618 model tailored for European and North American markets, this innovative crane is specifically designed to meet the demands of growth markets in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
The Potain MCR 625 boasts a host of features aimed at optimizing performance and efficiency in urban environments. With its moveable counterweights and compact design, it not only enhances on-site logistics but also enables the crane to be erected in confined spaces with ease.
“We are excited to introduce the Potain MCR 625, a crane that offers the perfect balance in power, precision, and compactness. By leveraging the proven design of the MR 618 and adding design elements for fast-emerging global markets, we are empowering contractors to tackle ambitious projects in urban environments with unprecedented efficiency and reliability,” said Leong Kwong-Joon, regional product manager for Potain tower cranes.
One of the key highlights of the MCR 625 is its ability to operate with one or two-fall reeving, facilitating faster hoist speeds and maximizing productivity. With a maximum capacity of 32 tons in two-fall operation and 17.5 tons in one-fall, along with a maximum jib length of 65 meters and a tip load of 6.4 tons at maximum reach, this crane is well-equipped to handle even the most demanding high-rise projects.
Configurable with various jib lengths ranging from 30 to 65 meters, the Potain MCR 625 offers unmatched versatility to contractors, allowing them to adapt setup according to project requirements. Despite its impressive capabilities, the crane remains highly transportable, requiring only 11 truckloads even with a full 65-meter jib, thus minimizing transportation costs and logistical challenges.
With three hoist options and extensive wire rope length, the MCR 625 provides further flexibility to meet diverse project needs. Available across key regions including Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, this state-of-the-art crane sets a new standard in power, precision, and compactness, empowering contractors to tackle ambitious projects with confidence and efficiency.
