Manitowoc has launched a new extended service coverage (ESC) program for Grove GMK all-terrain cranes in North America, offering crane owners enhanced protection and flexibility through its extensive dealer network.
This program replaces the previous extended warranty option, providing competitive pricing and peace of mind.
The ESC program is designed to simplify maintenance and repairs, ensuring they are handled by factory-trained technicians using genuine Manitowoc parts.
Key benefits include the ability to pause coverage during unforeseen circumstances, transfer unused coverage when selling a crane or cancel the coverage for a prorated refund.
Additionally, ESC coverage enhances the resale value of cranes, as transferable plans make them more appealing to secondary buyers.
“The ESC program offers multiple tiers of coverage, tailored to meet the different needs of our customers,” Chad Pingel, senior project manager at Manitowoc said.
“We designed this program to ensure owners can focus on their businesses while protecting their investments against unexpected costs.”
The ESC program features three levels of protection:
“These plans are reasonably priced, reflecting our belief in the reliability of Manitowoc cranes,” Pingel said. “The ESC program strengthens long-term relationships between customers and dealers, extending support well beyond the standard warranty period.”
The ESC program currently covers a wide range of Grove GMK crane models, such as the GMK3050-3, GMK5150L-1 and GMK6400-1
Manitowoc plans to expand the program to select countries in South America and Europe in the near future, as well as add coverage for other product lines, including Manitowoc crawler cranes.
With this launch, Manitowoc reinforces its commitment to supporting crane owners with flexible, reliable service solutions, helping them maximize uptime and protect their investments.
