April 6, 2005 • The Crane CARE division of Manitowoc Crane Group, Manitowoc, Wis., has completed development work resulting in an international office and dealer network throughout the Americas, Europe-Middle East-Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions.

In North America there are now 120 Manitowoc Crane CARE dealers. Of these, 16 dealers, operating from 55 locations, have attained Elite status. Joining the Crane CARE Americas management team are Scott Alexander and John Bittner as general manager and director of marketing, respectively.

Alexander brings more than 20 years experience in domestic and international OEM and aftermarket businesses to Crane CARE. He most recently served as vice president and general manager for P&H MinePro Service's North American Group where he was responsible for its mining OEM and aftermarket business.

Bittner was named to the newly created position of director of marketing. During his previous tenure with Grove, a career that spanned more than 28 years, Bittner served in increasingly responsible positions such as parts marketing manager, director parts operations, director market support and training, and director of marketing for crane sales.

In other news, the division recently unveiled a line of branded consumables, including lubricant, O-ring sets, and touch-up paint, supplied by leading industrial manufacturers to MCG's specifications.
