Mammoet Completes Acquisition of ALE
Mammoet, a global leader in engineered lifting and transport services, has completed its acquisition of ALE, also a heavy lifting and transport provider.
As of Jan. 8, the two businesses operate as one company under the Mammoet brand. Mammoet is headquartered in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
The merger creates the industry’s largest global provider of engineered heavy lifting and transport services, said Mammoet.
Integration
A fully developed integration plan will be rolled out over the coming months, Mammoet added. The plan will focus on bringing the two organizations together while maintaining safe, world-class service to customers.
The global coverage of the combined business includes more than 140 offices and branches worldwide. That ensures proximity to the world’s most important industrial and urban areas and, thus, the company’s customers.

Van Gelder added that Mammoet wants to understand its clients’ business and challenges better than anyone else, regardless of the customer’s size, industry, or location. “We will keep improving our services and support them to build smarter, safer, and stronger across the world,” he said.
Van Gelder also noted that Mammoet wants to challenge conventional thinking, minimize risk, and lead innovation in the industry, so its new brand proposition is, “Together, we are Smarter, Safer, Stronger.”
Mammoet believes its combined team of professionals and fleet of heavy equipment is now the world’s largest, which it says enhances the company’s ability to deliver in the safest, most efficient, and cost-effective way possible, from single day local jobs to multi-year megaprojects.
Mammoet’s large R&D facility has produced innovations such as the PTC and SK crane ranges and the Mega Jac – equipment that has shortened project schedules in the process and redefining industries.
