Mammoet has unveiled its new Mega Jack 10000, doubling its previous lifting capacity to 10,400 metric tons per tower without increasing the base footprint. This advancement allows for larger loads to be lifted with fewer towers, reducing the need for extensive foundations and cutting project costs.
The system introduces a five-meter jacking beam with three connection points, distributing loads across eight Mega Jack base units, minimizing the use of steel for support and enabling lifts closer to the ground. Enhanced control systems further improve safety by precisely monitoring lift positions.
“We noticed that loads were growing beyond the capacity of the Mega Jack 5200 and came up with the idea of the Mega Jack 10000 mt. We designed an early initial concept and now we have upgraded the system to accommodate future projects that require a 10,000t single tower solution,” Richard Verhoeff, Director Sales Global Special Devices at Mammoet, said
The Mega Jack 10000 will serve sectors such as offshore oil and gas, renewable energy and heavy topside manufacturing, where loads can exceed 30,000 mt.
