September 6, 2005 — Magtrol, Inc., a manufacturer of test & measurement products based in Buffalo, N.Y., announced the opening of a new sales and service office in Shanghai, China today as well as the appointment of Charles Lin as the new location's general manager. The primary focus of the sales team at this site is to increase international sales of torque-speed-power products, including dynamometers, power analyzers, motor testing software, and torque transducers.
“Opening the office in China was the next logical step for us from a global customer service standpoint,” said Magtrol's President and Owner William Mulroy. “We believe that our longstanding customers in North America and Europe who have expanded into China as well as our local Chinese customers will truly benefit by having a Magtrol office in the region.”
According to Lin, the company's greatest accomplishment in Shanghai has been the ability to provide customers with improved local service. “In addition to being able to place orders, customers are pleased to know that they are able to coordinate all of their calibration and service requirements with us,” said Lin, emphasizing that he expects the new Shanghai office to become a vital component of the company's international sales force. “Our goal is to double the sale of torque-speed-power products in China within the next two years.”
