Liebherr has introduced the 440 HC-L, the next generation luffing jib crane designed to meet the demands of fast-paced construction cycles. Available in two versions, the 12/24 and 18/36, the crane boasts increased lifting capacity, with the 18/36 model lifting up to 36 tons, an improvement from its predecessor, the 357 HC-L.
The 440 HC-L offers an out-of-service position of up to 35 feet and a minimum working radius of less than 13 feet, allowing it to be positioned closer to buildings and property lines.
This is also the first crane to utilize lightweight aramid fiber guying, which increases load capacity while simplifying assembly.
Liebherr has enhanced efficiency with a single switchgear cabinet and pre-assembled components for faster setup. The crane features a maximum radius of 213 feet, with up to 52% higher jib head lifting capacity. The jib can be extended in 16.4-foot increments.
Performance can be further boosted by 22% using Liebherr’s Load Plus feature, and the crane is equipped with the latest TC-OS control unit for easy operation.
