Liebherr Unveils LTM 1150-5.4 Mobile Crane With LICCON3 Control System
Liebherr has introduced the latest addition to its mobile crane lineup, the LTM 1150-5.4, featuring the new LICCON3 control system.
This model is part of an ongoing expansion of Liebherr’s mobile cranes, incorporating the next generation of crane control technology into both new and existing models.
The performance parameters of the crane remain unchanged, but the system now includes advanced technological upgrades to enhance user experience and efficiency.
LICCON3, the third generation of Liebherr's Liebherr Computed Control system, introduces new software and programming that boasts faster data buses, higher memory capacity and increased computing power.
Despite these innovations, the system maintains a familiar operating concept, allowing crane operators to transition seamlessly without learning new procedures.
The updated LTM 1150-5.4 also features a new driver's cabin and crane cab. The cabin design emphasizes comfort and convenience, with high-quality materials, a multifunction steering wheel and improved controls.
A new air-conditioning system, automatic lighting adjustments, and enhanced displays are just a few of the upgrades designed to improve the crane driver's experience.
Further safety and functionality enhancements include intelligent assistance systems like the Blind Spot Information System and Moving Off Information System, which improve road safety by protecting pedestrians and cyclists.
The crane also supports RemoteDrive, a remote-control feature that allows the crane to be operated from outside, proving valuable on tight construction sites.
The LTM 1150-5.4 retains its reputation as a powerful, versatile 165-ton mobile crane, capable of handling a variety of tasks, including the erection of tower cranes and radio masts.
With a 216-foot telescopic boom, it provides impressive lifting capacities and reach. Liebherr claims the crane’s ability to carry 9.9 tons of ballast while only weighing 66 tons makes it highly efficient and cost-effective, saving contractors time and resources.
Liebherr is also introducing the LTM 1150-5.4E, an electric version of the mobile crane, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainability with "zero emissions, full power" performance.
This model offers the same capabilities but with an environmentally conscious electric drive, allowing for cleaner operations on the jobsite.
With its array of new features, the LTM 1150-5.4 is positioned as a valuable asset for crane contractors, blending innovative technology with unmatched performance.
