Liebherr has announced the launch of its latest mobile construction crane, the MK 120-5.1, which is now available for order. This five-axle crane features a 52-meter jib and can lift up to 2,100 kilograms at the jib head, making it a powerful addition to Liebherr’s existing MK lineup.
Bridging the gap between the MK 88-4.1 and MK 140-5.1 models, the MK 120-5.1 is designed for agility, allowing it to navigate narrow streets and access confined jobsites. Its compact size and efficient taxi crane concept enable it to cover multiple sites in a single day.
The MK 120-5.1 is equipped with Liebherr’s new TC-OS (Tower Crane Operating System) display, featuring a 12-inch touchscreen for customizable operation. An optional smaller load hook can also be added, enhancing its functionality in tight spaces, such as those with scaffolding.
“The MK 120-5.1 is exactly the right crane for our fleet. Its jib length and lifting capacity make it ideal for our customers’ construction sites,” says Stephan Zaugg, managing director at Zaugg AG Rohrbach (Switzerland). “We are excited to be the first ever customer to acquire the new MK. Reliability, customer service and the great reputation of Liebherr’s mobile construction cranes were deciding factors for our purchase.”
The first deliveries are set to begin in summer 2025.
