The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) announced the return of Global Lifting Awareness Day (GLAD) on June 12, 2025, with the theme “Lifting Careers, Building Futures.”
This year’s event focuses on addressing skills shortages in the lifting industry, promoting tools to attract new talent and inspiring the next generation to pursue careers in lifting.
The lifting industry supports global infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, logistics and more, but many employers face challenges in recruiting and retaining skilled professionals. GLAD 2025 aims to offer practical solutions to help businesses identify, develop and retain top talent.

Special Industry Report and Webinar
LEEA CEO, Dr. Ross Moloney, and Matt Barber, LEEA director of membership, will present a special webinar to launch an exclusive industry report. The report will address pressing issues related to skills shortages, skills gaps and recruitment challenges in the lifting sector, offering actionable strategies for building a sustainable and skilled workforce.

GLAD 2025 aims to secure the industry’s future by raising awareness about diverse and rewarding careers in lifting.
