The K60 self-erecting tower crane combines heavy lifting capability with portability.

May 10, 2005 — Koenig Cranes North America recently launched its K60 model self-erecting tower crane into North America. Designed to meet the heavy lifting (up to 10,585 pounds) and extended reach (131-foot jib) needs of construction industry applications, the K60 delivers a significant return-on-investment for crane rental fleet owners on projects with less than 80-feet standard under hook clearance requirements or up to 144 feet with the jib in a 30° luff position. A powerlift option provides 20 percent more capacity when needed. No concrete base is required to house the unit's 13' by 13' footprint, which can be set up in less than a day, according to the company.

Later this year, Koenig Cranes plans to unveil its K70 model, which will feature a maximum lifting capacity of 10,585 pounds with a jib of 147' 8” and a standard lift clearance of 80 feet — or up to 149 feet with the jib in the 30° luff position.
