A 42-year-old man was killed after being struck by a 9-ton slab of concrete at a condominium construction site. The man was struck while the concrete slab was being unloaded by crane from a truck. This marks the second accident in less than a month at the site. In February, a man was struck by a dumpster being lifted by a crane atop the construction site. A second worker was injured in the previous accident. The Ontario Ministry of Labor is investigating.
