One key feature of the 1044C Series II is its steel frame design that incorporates a patented twin-rail box construction for an overall stronger structure and increased load capacity. All-wheel, two-wheel front, and crab steering is available for easy jobsite maneuverability. Additional features include a four-section telescopic boom featuring welded box construction with replaceable high-density wear pads with wear indicators, and multifunction hydraulic-over-hydraulic joystick controls help deliver precise load placement and faster cycle times. A rear-axle stabilization system provides increased stability during operation. This is a three-mode system with a free, slow pivot or locked rear axle.
Other machine specifications include a maximum overall height of 97 inches for low-clearance settings, a 13'8” turning radius, 124-inch wheelbase, and 16-inch ground clearance. The 1044C Series II has a top speed of 20 mph and 10° frame tilt for improved productivity.
The unit is powered by Tier II compliant, 115-hp John Deere diesel engine, and the transmission is a modulated power shift featuring four forward and three reverse speeds. Full-time planetary four-wheel drive delivers constant traction and is coupled with inboard-mounted, internal wet disc brakes for superior braking performance.
