November 23, 2005
— JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., announced it will feature the 3394RT scissor lift with a General Motors Vortec 3000 engine at The Rental Show, held February 6 to 9 in Orlando, Fla. JLG reported earlier this month it would be replacing its Ford Power Products combustion-powered engines with the GM Vortec 3000 beginning in January 2006, due to the fact that Ford has discontinued the line of gas engines JLG was using in several of its access products.

Other machines the company plans to bring to The Rental show include electric-powered scissor lifts, towable boom lifts, telehandlers, and self-propelled boom lifts. The GM Vortec 3000 engine powering the scissor lift is a 3.0L engine that delivers 82 hp at 2,800 rpm. It is Tier III compliant and delivers improved fuel economy with reduced emissions, smoother operation and instant starting.

Other products JLG will display at The Rental Show include electric powered scissor lifts, towable boom lifts, telehandlers and self-propelled boom lifts.
