JLG Telehandlers to be sold to European Ag Markets
March 31, 2004 -JLG Manufacturing Europe has entered into a long-term OEM agreement with SAME Deutz-Fahr Group (SDFG), a tractor manufacturer of SAME, Deutz-Fahr, Lamborghini, and Hurlimann brand equipment. JLG will supply its line of compact telehandlers to SDFG to be marketed to European agricultural markets through SDFG's distribution network.
The telehandlers will be sold under the SDFG brand and will incorporate engines from Deutz. Machines are expected to be available to this market by the end of this year.
"With the European market for telehandlers estimated to be one billion Euros, the combined energies of JLG and SDFG are expected to produce significant growth opportunities," said Bill Lasky, chairman of the board, president, and chief executive officer of JLG Industries, McConnellsburg , Pa.
