May 19, 2004 -JLG Industries, McConnellsburg , Pa. , recently released two new vertical lifts-the 19AMI-DC for rental users and the SSV10 for industrial applications.

The 19AMI-DC lifts up to 350 pounds to a platform height of 19 feet without the need for outriggers. The manually-propelled vertical lift is just 34 inches wide. An automatic battery charger is built-in to the unit and an indicator warns operators when the charge is getting low.

The standard 25.5"x26" platform is fitted with a quick-change mount for optional platforms including a narrow platform for access through acoustical tile and an extension platform offering an additional 24 inches of reach over the front of the machine. Other options designed to increase worker productivity include a fluorescent light tube caddy and cord reel.

Meanwhile, industrial users will find the self-propelled SSV10, shown, an efficient way to reach jobs as high as 16 feet overhead. Rated at 350 pounds capacity in the platform, an additional 250 pounds of cargo can be loaded on a material tray.

The unit features one-hand joystick control for steering and travel speed functions. The SSV10 pivots 90 degrees for a zero turning radius, and it has non-marking tires. According to the company, an improved high-efficiency charging system is 50 percent faster than other lifts in this class
