December 17, 2004 — JLG Industries, Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa., introduces its first trailer-mounted aerial lift line. The Tow-Pro™ line includes two models—the 35-foot T350 and the jib-equipped T500H with 50-foot platform height.

“The market for trailer-mounted boom lifts has a large number of brands already available. So to make the JLG brand stand out in this crowded field, we designed our machines to have more capabilities and to be the most innovative trailer mounted boom lifts available,” said Mark Mohn, JLG product champion. The company touts larger working envelopes and faster towing speeds (up to 65 mph) than similar products on the market. Other key features include self-leveling hydraulic outriggers and a removable platform control box with one-handed proportional controls.

A drive-and-set system, which allows the machine to be driven by the operator from the platform when it is in the stowed position, is available on both models With this option, workers can move the machines short distances when on a generally firm and level surface to do such jobs as tree trimming or changing the light bulbs on a series of parking lot fixtures.

Tow-Pro Model T350 has 35-foot platform height with 20-foot horizontal reach. The 50-foot T500J includes a 3'6” jib boom with 130° vertical motion. It has a horizontal reach of 31 feet.. Both machines feature 370° non-continuous turntable rotation. The 30”x48” aluminum platform offers 500 pounds unrestricted capacity. Power is provided by 24V, 220 ampere-hour batteries or from an optional 9 hp Honda gasoline engine.

The Tow-Pro lifts will debut to the public at The Rental Show, February 14-17, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nev. For product information, go to www.jlg.com.
