JLG Awarded Additional U.S. Army Contract

November 7, 2005 — JLG Industries, Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa., recently won a $7.6 million contract from the Department of the Army for All-Terrain Lifter Army System (ATLAS) vehicles under the Iraqi Supplemental Acquisition Military program for delivery to the Iraqi military through October 2007.

"This contract is a credit to the hardworking local workforce we have right here in Fulton and Franklin counties and to JLG for once again getting the job done right for the U.S. military," said Congressman Bill Shuster, a member of the Armed Services Committee. "Right here in central Pennsylvania we are doing our part to equip and prepare Iraqi Security Forces to defend themselves while also creating good jobs and economic development."

This is just one of a number of military contracts JLG has secured since the Iraq conflict began. For example, the U.S. Marine Corps placed a $13 million order with JLG for telescopic handlers this summer.
