Intervect renamed Alimak Hek

February 23, 2005 — As part of a new worldwide re-branding strategy, The Intervect Group, Stockholm, Sweden, has changed its name to Alimak Hek • a combination of Intervect's two strongest product lines. President and Chief Executive Officer Petter Arvidson said because of both the Alimak and Hek brand recognition, it was only natural to use these names to help the company position itself for market leadership in providing vertical access product and service solutions.

“For over 50 years, both Alimak and Hek have established and sustained strong independent reputations in our industry for delivering reliable and efficient vertical access logistic services and products designed to help customers save time and money,” Arvidson said. Recent projects include delivering vertical access solutions for the new T5 airport terminal at London's Heathrow airport, the Snow Dome in Dubai, the 508-meter Taipei 101 tower in Taiwan, and the “Turning Torso” office and residential tower in Malmö, Sweden.
