Industry Marks the Passing of Rick Morrow

April 7, 2016 - Richard Edward Morrow, of Morrow Crane Co., passed away at the age of 64 on March 26, 2016, after a decline in health from interstitial lung disease. He was born in Salem, Ore., where he lived his entire life.

 

At the age of 17 he was the youngest member of the Operating Engineers Union, where he worked as a tower-crane operator before joining his brother John at Morrow Crane in 1973. Today, Morrow owns and operates the largest fleet of tower cranes and construction hoists in North America, and distributes heavy equipment throughout Latin America and Australia.

 

Morrow is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; his brothers John and Bobby Morrow; sister, Margie Morrow; two children, Andrew and Christina, and their spouses; and six grandchildren. Contributions may be made to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
