Steve Fairbanks

October 12, 2004—Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc. (IMT), Garner, Iowa, recently named Steve Fairbanks its new president and chief operating officer. Fairbanks will oversee all business segments of IMT and reports to Richard Long, CEO.

Most recently, Fairbanks served as president of Viking Pump, Inc., a Cedar Falls, Iowa-based division of IDEX Corporation. He also served in top executive positions for other IDEX subsidiaries and business units. Prior to IDEX, he also worked for the Copeland Corporation (a division of Emerson Electric) and Standard Oil Company of Ohio.

Fairbanks holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College. In addition, he is a registered professional engineer, holds seven U.S. patents, and is a certified Six-Sigma Green Belt.

“I'm excited to be joining such a respected organization,” said Fairbanks. “The management team already in place is solid, and the dealer network and products are both impressive. Having that type of foundation is critical to continued success.”
