July 1, 2005
-- Montclair, Calif.-based Imes, Inc., the U.S. arm of Imes Group, recently announced that Water Weights® bags, associated rental equipment, and products are now available in Mexico through a rental agreement with a local company called PCS Mexico S.de R.L. de C.V. in Ciudad Del Carmen. Designed to facilitate the testing of cranes, davits, BOP handling equipment, lifeboats, and elevators to meet statutory, safety or insurance requirements, the Water Weights method provides an efficient and economical alternative for testing over using conventional steel or concrete weights.

Water Weights provide an effective alternative for testing over conventional steel or concrete weights.

All Water Weight bags are certified to a factor of safety in excess of 6:1 and physically proof load tested to twice they're working load before being placed into service. When empty, the equipment weighs a 1.5% of rated capacity when full, allowing for substantial savings in both transportation and labor. Load measurement is performed using a certified load cell or flow meter so the exact test weight is always achieved.

Imes Group has established numerous alliances and licensing agreements around the world with organizations operating under the Water Weights brand, distributing its products and services. For more information, visit www.imesinc.com.
