Hook Block-Mounted Wireless Camera System Tower Crane Now Available

July 15, 2015 - 4Site Technology has launched a new version of the ProPick-TC hook-block mounted wireless camera system for tower cranes.The camera system has all the benefits and functionality of the original ProPick, but it is a more compact package and sits only two inches off the hook block.

ProPick now features a separated battery and transmitter, which allows for interchangeable batteries and additional mounting options. The battery, camera, and transmitter can be mounted anywhere the hook block allows, including between the cheek plates.

The camera ships with a single-shift battery, providing 20 hours of runtime. 4Site offers an optional 100-plus-hour battery, providing up to two weeks of runtime without charging. The optional long-lasting battery comes with a remote control key-fob so operators can power the camera on and off from the cab. ProPick-TC also features an optional extended range antenna kit. The add-on allows the camera system to work in excess off 1,000 ft. in the air.

An extended line of accessory packages for the ProPick will soon be available to allow it to adapt to other applications. Packages will include mounting kits for mobile cranes, forklifts, concrete pumps, loaders, and more.

Along with the release of the new model, 4Site is also now offering optional stationary cameras to monitor hoist-drums, counter-jibs, or other critical vantage points out of the visual range of the operator. The additional video feeds are viewable on the optional split-screen monitor inside the crane’s cab.
