Holler-Szyszka Specialty Insurance Team join Palmer & Cay
April 7, 2004 -Specializing in insurance for the aerial work platform market, long-time brokerage team Bill Holler and Debbie Szyszka recently made a move to Palmer & Cay Inc., the second largest privately-held insurance broker in the U.S. With headquarters in Savannah , Ga. , Palmer & Cay features a "Program Division," designed to meet the insurance needs of equipment rental dealers and crane specialty markets.
Holler and Szyszka, who come to Palmer & Cay from Dann Insurance, have provided insurance packages to both aerial work platform manufacturers and dealers. "We are a full-service provider for dealers, offering them competitive rates and specific types of coverage designed for their industries," said Holler. "In addition, we can advise them on documentation for rental agreements and training."
The company is also in serious discussions with Qualcomm, the wireless communications industry giant, to develop a joint marketing agreement. Qualcomm makes the GlobalTRACST equipment information management system, which logs hours, usage, and location of equipment. Companies using this system and insuring through Palmer & Cay will be able to receive significant savings on insurance rates.
According to Holler, more insurance companies are willing to work with Palmer & Cay because of its size and reputation as a broker, which translates to better rates and more available coverage to aerial work platform specialists. The company recently opened 13 Midwest offices, bringing its total to 38 offices in 22 states.
Holler is the senior vice president and leader of the Construction Equipment Dealer Practice and Szyszka is vice president and equipment dealer specialist. Aerial work platform dealers or manufacturers can contact either broker at their respective e-mail addresses: william_holler@palmercay.com or debra_szyszka@palmercay.com .
