Hirschmann (PAT) Introduces the Mentor LMI

July 21, 2005 — Hirschmann Automation and Control (PAT), Chambersburg, Pa., has introduced the Mentor load moment indicator (LMI) for mobile cranes. The Mentor provides the operator with a continuous display of the crane's actual and allowable load, boom length, boom angle, and load radius.

 

The combination of the central unit being integrated into the console and the use of CANbus sensors provides for quick and easy installation. Set-up and calibration is done via the user-friendly console, which also incorporates a large backlit LCD display with automatic contrast adjustment. The Mentor also provides the flexibility of optional working area definition (WADS) and the use of wireless sensors. The Hirschmann Mentor meets all industry standards for LMIs and is rated IP66.
