Hertz Acquires All Reach Equipment

April 22, 2008 • Park Ridge, N.J.-based Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC) has acquired Hamden, Conn.-based All Reach Equipment. All Reach is an integrated equipment services company focused on aerial booms, scissor lifts, straight-mast forklifts, and reach forklifts. The purchase price was not disclosed.

"Hertz has been actively seeking new growth opportunities for its equipment rental business," said Mark Frissora, Hertz chairman and CEO. "With the All Reach acquisition, we're able to further strengthen HERC's presence in the Northeast while enhancing its product offering to customers throughout the region."

Founded in 1999, All Reach is estimated to be the third largest aerial lift equipment rental and services company in the New York and New England regions. The acquired business had revenues of approximately $7 million in the year ended December 31, 2007. The acquisition will be integrated into HERC's operations.

"Expanding HERC's aerial business is in line with our overall strategy to continue growth and diversification of our business,” said Gerry Plescia, president, Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation. “The All Reach acquisition will reinforce HERC's position in the aerial equipment rental business and will help the company service customers throughout the Northeast corridor."

FocalPoint Partners, Los Angeles, Calif., served as financial adviser to All Reach.
